Man surprises me most about humanity. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.
My background as a person that walks a line between being Filipino and being American, was one that was a very natural line, a line that I’ve walked in my personal and professional life forever. Filipinos think you’re too white. White people think you’re too Filipino. I mean at this point, I don’t give a shit, I knew who I was, and they took me for who I was rather than the color of my skin or my ethnicity.
